Composition

Inspired by iconic film scores since the early days of his career, Nick has long had a passion for creating music. Following a few over-the-top compositions in his music theory coursework, Nick studied privately with world-renowned composer and EFSC music department chair Dr. ChanJi Kim in 2019. During that time, he wrote his first professional piece, a horn and piano duet entitled “Mystic Waters,” (listed in the portfolio below.) Since then, Nick has composed and arranged for other small-scale instrumental ensembles, sacred and secular choral works, short film scores, and is currently composing his first major symphonic work.
