Strangers Enjoying a Rainy Day

Nick’s original composition for alto saxophone, clarinet, and piano. The sax and clarinet lines follow the shape of a conversation between two people, while the piano accompaniment provides the scenic backdrop for their walk: falling rain, church bells, a fleeting rainbow, etc. Nick was inspired by very specific mental imagery for this piece, but leaves it largely open for interpretation.
