Performance
Entering the world of vocal performance during his first year at Eastern Florida State College, Nick enjoys performing a wide variety of styles, genres, and mediums. Under the tutelage of Mark Baker at EFSC and Thomas Potter at the University of Central Florida, Nick has developed a versatile, rich baritone voice, and a dynamic and expressive stage presence.
Through Orlando Choral Society, Nick has performed as a soloist and choir member in such venues as the beautiful Steinmetz Hall at Orlando’s Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the historic Carnegie Hall in New York City, and even St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. He has sung major works such as Mendelssohn’s “Elijah,” and Bach’s “Mass in B Minor,” with the Brevard Community Chorus.
Operatically, Nick has sung roles such as Nardo in Mozart’s “La Finta Gardiniera,” Horace Tabor in Douglas Moore’s “The Ballad of Baby Doe,” Escamillo in Bizet’s “Carmen,” and Count Almaviva in Mozart’s “The Marriage of Figaro,” all during his time at UCF. Now, Nick performs regularly in the chorus for Opera Orlando, where he has performed shows such as Puccini’s “Tosca,” Verdi’s “Macbeth,” Massenet’s “Cendrillon,” and even Andrea Bocelli’s world tour.
In addition to his operatic career, Nick also enjoys participating in local musical theater productions. At EFSC he performed in the 2019 production of “Guys & Dolls,” at the Cocoa Village Playhouse he’s sung in the chorus for shows like “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Kinky Boots,” and he has performed in the choir for his favorite show, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” on three occasions, most recently with Encore Performing Arts.
Nick enjoys performing recital-style variety concerts, as well as producing cover videos on his YouTube channel.
